Rising up from the Ashes...

Just after midnight on March 3rd, a devastating tornado ripped through Nashville then eastward, resulting in loss of life, injuries and hundreds of millions of dollars in damage to homes and businesses. While we mourn with the Nashville community, we are deeply grateful that no one was on the property when it hit Donelson Christian Academy. The building suffered a total loss of many of its classrooms, but we are Hebrews 10:39 people, as Headmaster Dr. Singer says from the ESV Bible version,

39 “we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.”

Now, with the rest of Middle Tennessee, we start our recovery.

What's Next?

DCA’s Elementary and PreSchool classrooms will require a complete rebuild, but we know God has a bigger plan for our school than to just replace what was lost. We’ve created this page to keep you informed of our progress, and if you feel moved and are able to support our rebuilding, we’ve provided different ways you can help.

For 676 current Nashville families representing 814 students PreK through 12th grade, DCA has always been more than “just” a school…DCA is their second home, their extended family, their community. Only our facilities are damaged. Wildcats are resilient, strong, and meet challenges head-on, emerging stronger.  We are, and remain, #DCAStrong #OnceAWildcatAlwaysAWildcat
